Who is Industrial Timber Products?
Industrial Timber Products is a member of CarlWood Lumber Limited that is a family-owned manufacturing company situated in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
CarlWood is Canada’s largest manufacturer of Stop Logs and a major manufacturer of Crane Mats in British Columbia.
Why a new website?
The original site used dated black and white photography that didn’t represent the products well. Industrial Timber Products was also running two separate sites: ITP and a rail product website. Industrial Timber Products wanted to consolidate both, bring in the new photos, and build a catalogue with e-commerce functionality.

About the Project
The redesign brought two separate sites together. Industrial Timber Products had maintained a standalone rail products store alongside its main ITP site. Both are now under one domain, covering all eight product categories in a single, organized catalogue.
WooCommerce powers full e-commerce across all eight product lines. Customers can purchase directly online or use the quote cart if they prefer a formal quote before committing. Delivery is quoted separately — shipping costs vary by order size and destination — so freight is handled outside the standard checkout flow.
The client had built a strong library of product and job-site images. The new site uses photographs of actual timber products, field applications, and finished installations, rather than the stylized black-and-white photos used previously.
The design of the website has remained similar to the previous website, but time was spent on adding more marketing content to pages and really finessing the layout of the product lists so you could purchase right from the category list page.
Working with Honeycomb Creative has been a very good experience. During the process, I have learned lots about my own business, as your probing questions have forced me to examine some basic things about our approach.
