Meadows Landscape Supply
Who is Meadows Landscape Supply?
Meadows Landscape Supply has been providing bulk landscape materials to homeowners and contractors across the Lower Mainland since 1992. Based in Pitt Meadows, BC, they supply topsoil, mulch, aggregates, hardscape products, and more, with delivery reaching Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, and the Fraser Valley. They also operate a separate Recycling Center for landscape material drop-off at a second Pitt Meadows location.
Why a new website?
Meadows Landscape Supply already had a website with a quote cart. The goal was to take the next step: full e-commerce. The new site lets customers and contractors browse products, place orders, and pay online, without any back-and-forth.
Were there any special client requirements?
WooCommerce e-commerce — Full online purchasing, replacing the previous quote cart. Customers can browse, order, and pay directly through the site.
Quote cart — Retained alongside e-commerce for customers who prefer to request a quote rather than purchase outright.
Customer accounts — Registered customers can log in, view order history, and access their account details.
Bulk materials calculator — An on-site tool that calculates how much material a customer needs based on the dimensions of their area. Supports rectangular, triangular, and circular shapes for soil, mulch, and aggregate orders.
Custom delivery calculator — Delivery pricing is calculated using defined geographic zones across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, rather than postal codes. The calculator also uses conditional logic to determine the appropriate truck type based on the product and volume ordered.
Contractor discounts — Registered contractors receive automatic pricing discounts at checkout. The discount varies by product type and is applied when the contractor account is logged in.
Detailed delivery form — A structured form that captures the specific delivery details needed to fulfill bulk material orders accurately.
About the Project
The visual direction stayed consistent with the existing brand. Warm greens, subtle textures, and landscaping photography carry through the site, keeping it familiar for returning customers while giving the underlying structure an overhaul.
The home page is organized around how customers actually shop. Quick-links sit prominently above the fold, connecting visitors directly to the main bulk material categories: soil, mulch, gravel, sand, and decorative rock. A dynamic update section pulls in the latest post for communications like new products, seasonal changes, or updated hours, without requiring a full blog setup.
Two call-out areas, a site-wide ticker at the top and a bright blue panel on product listing and detail pages, give the team a flexible way to surface important information at any time. These can be updated without touching the rest of the design.
The Recycling Center operates with its own address, hours, and services, and that distinction is reflected throughout the site. It has a dedicated section in the primary navigation, set in bright blue to stand out visually, and the footer is split to show both location details clearly.
Product setup included building out variable products in WooCommerce and adding SEO content across the catalog.
