Werner Electric Ltd. is a professional electrical contracting company serving Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley since 2005. The company specializes in commercial and industrial electrical services, offering everything from routine preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades to emergency troubleshooting and tenant improvement projects.

The old site had two problems: it looked dated, and the information on it was no longer accurate.

Werner Electric’s work is commercial and industrial, which means they don’t have a portfolio full of dramatic building exteriors the way a residential contractor might. Their job sites are factories, warehouses, and commercial spaces. Generally, their clients don’t want to show pictures of their facilities. So we kept the imagery clean and simple.

Werner Electric knew its work inside and out. Turning that expertise into clear, accurate website copy is a different challenge — one we took on from the ground up.

The client came in with a clear direction: black and white, with primary colours as accents. Sharp, no-nonsense, professional. We built around that.

We pulled the plug from their logo to mark points in the header, and added CSS hover effects that make the navigation light up on rollover. (It’s an electrical company. It would’ve been wrong not to.) Lottie animations handle the sector and service callouts — cleaner than bullet points and more visually interesting.
